All Black Sione Lauaki has been charged with common assault.

The Hamilton police confirmed that the Waikato and All Black sports personality was charged after an incident involving a 26 year old man in central Hamilton.

Lauaki agreed to his name being released to the press to end speculation about which All Black was involved in the incident.

Both the Chiefs and the New Zealand Rugby Union are awaiting the outcome of the police investigation before commenting or instituting internal disciplinary measures.

The Tongan-born, 115kg, 1.94m Lauaki has played seven Tests for the All Blacks after starring for the combined Pacific Islands side in his international debut.

Sorry Duiwel but i have to disagree, a good example of hooligans are the freakish soccer fans over in the U.K and Europe, I know that there is two sides to every story and we have yet to hear Lauaki’s version of events, i get into scraps at least once a month when i go out into town, why aint i in the newspapers?
