As for the article, just read it, not bad and i agree that a mindset change is probably needed, but it strikes me that what is even more fundamental than quotas and all the usual ****** cliches, is the need for money generated by the sport to be developed on the sport itself.

I think there was alot of truth to what Jake White said, which was that if every S12 coach was offered a million rand to develop a number of black players to S12 standard, he would have far more of these players to select from at bok lelvel then whatever was previously contemplated.

Why the insistence of having YET ANOTHER political animal like Bacher in there? To be honest, I dont see massive transformation or performance in our cricket side either. They have not revolutionised the game – just gone on business as usual. Any old doos can do that -keep things running as they always were…

In practical terms, I’d rather have strife in teh administration, since that way they keep each other on their toes, and nobody does anything bad for fear of being bust. Also that way they are too damn busy fighting to get involved in the game. They say that the Italian economy is so strong because there has been a change of government on average more than once a year since WW2 – they have never been in pwer long enough to make policies at all. Makes you think…
