Wanted: Talented SA coach
1 Feb 2006
The Hamilton Hornets, a Canadian club, is desperately looking for a new head coach.
However, with rugby being such a small sport in Canada they are battling to fill the position. Apparently, there just aren’t enough coaches to go around and good coaches are hard to find.
The Hornets are looking into visas and travel arrangements for a South African to come and coach for a season or two.
Anyone who is interested can send their CV to peter.vanzyl@sympatico.ca

RC,
Have a look at this:
Question Andre Nel’s parentage and sexuality all day, if it’s good for a laugh. And remind all the players that you know what single men do for gratification on tour when their wives are back home. South African crowds will do the same over there next month.
All sportsmen need a thick skin. But it doesn’t matter what colour it is. As Makhaya Ntini said: “You can swear at me, you can tell me my Mum is a so-and-so, but when it comes to those words nobody can take it. As South Africans we are united now. We are singing one song and we play sport with one heart.”

Andre Nel is great. The SA cricket team is dull without him.

Sheeesh Redcard – no need to send poor Canada back to the dark ages.

I nominate Kobus VD Merwe think he is ideal for the job.

Boys when the Aussies are here remember to ask Gilcrist if Michael Slater really did get hold of his wife and how their son is doing.
I see Hayden said that nothing would upset them, I’m sure this would.
1 Feb 2006, 12:35 pm
Redcard, what does that have to do with Matthew Hayden?
1 Feb 2006, 12:37 pm
i nominate the most underrated coach in SA.
Chester Williams
BWAHHAAHHAAHAHHAHAAHHAAHA

He said that nothing the public say whilst they are here would upset them, I beg to differ, The UCB PR had to calm them the last we asked the question.
1 Feb 2006, 12:37 pm
Or Paul Treu!!!
lol

Red card
Good one !!
1 Feb 2006, 12:41 pm
yip, i think that their boys need to be given the full treatment when they tour. Its only fair, i mean **** if that fat little warnie fruitcake isn’t ripe for the picking; i dont know. I reckon that is one ego that can be splattered big time, and those surfer-boy highlights, do me a favour.
1 Feb 2006, 12:46 pm
cab, a friend of mine met him and says the perception most ppl have of him is true. he is one arrogant oke!!!
let me rather not call him names, Ig might just ban me. lol
redcard, so thats the reason Michael Slater all of a sudden got dropped from the Aussie team, even though he was averaging in the high 40′s in tests. lol
1 Feb 2006, 12:56 pm
Slater was struggling in the Ashes series in ’01. Langer scored a century as his replacement, which ended Slater’s test career. He copped a lot of rubbish in the press (they even followed him around the club circuit).
1 Feb 2006, 13:02 pm
Slater seemed fine and the aussies were crazy to drop him, great batsmen, fantastic eye.
wpw – yip cant say i’d mind terribly if someone cut him down a peg or two. Pity Brian Mac’s not still around.

Poster at the cricket:
Master Gilchrist, Who’s your daddy?
1 Feb 2006, 13:40 pm
Hey Keo you should be careful of what you allow these pinheads to say on your forum.
These false allegations about Gilchrist first appeared on an Ozzie cricket website , Gilchrist sued the site and won. From memory it cost them 150,000

Crickets best sledges…
Daryll Cullinan and Shane Warne.
As Cullinan was on his way to the wicket, Warne told him he had been waiting 2 years for another chance to humiliate him. “Looks like you spent it eating,” Cullinan retorted.

BTW Cab and others, its always a pity to spoil a good scandal story but Slater suffers from Bipolar disorder and has serious back problems, he quite simply could no longer play at that level.

Cry me a river Harry Dampers, Slater was and still is a c$ckhead, his commentating is almost as bad as Bill Lawry.
More sledges:
Mark Waugh
Can’t remember the player or the exact details but went something like Mark Waugh standing at second slip, the new player to the crease playing & missing the first ball. Mark – “Ohh, I remember you from a couple years ago in Australia. You were sh*t then; you’re f**king useless now”.
Kiwi Player to Mark Waugh
Kiwi – (Turning around) – “Yeah, that’s me & when I was there you were going out with that old, ugly sl*t & now I hear you’ve married her. You dumb c**t”.
1 Feb 2006, 14:00 pm
What has his commenting got to do with it Bryce?
1 Feb 2006, 14:06 pm
His biased commentating further reiterates what a **** he is.
1 Feb 2006, 14:09 pm
bryce, who isn’t biased?
1 Feb 2006, 14:09 pm
So what has that got to do with the reasons he stopped playing?
1 Feb 2006, 14:14 pm
Brumby… Tony Grieg commentating when RSA are winning… LOL
1 Feb 2006, 14:28 pm
Tony Greig is confused. He is a fan of all three teams in the VB series
1 Feb 2006, 15:03 pm
Yeah I find it amusing when, as hard as he tries to remain objective, as soon as the Saffa’s are in a good position he becomes really excited and just can’t hide it, no matter how hard he tries.
Good ol’ Tony

To Harry wears Pampers,
Since when can you sue somebody for asking a question? Read my post carefully and go and clean your undies.
1 Feb 2006, 16:33 pm
oxymorons:
1) deafening silence
2) military intelligence
3) talented SA coach
1 Feb 2006, 22:31 pm
tony greig makes me laugh my *** off, at least he says the odd controversial thing, even if he doesn’t realise its not terribly PC, i dont think he means a thing by it.
Harry,
As for Slater had no idea why he stopped, cheers for the detail. Bladdy hell bipolar, looked positively dull, thqt lithium must be strong ****. Anyway, thought he was impartial and good as a commentator during the ashes despite the poms trying to bait him when on top. As a batsman, great ball stroker, ditto for Gilchrist (unfortunate choice of words).
However, I think Warnie is a royal tosser and that Ponting, Mgrath, Hayden and Langer are ugly losers, which is a very unfortunate trait.
2 Feb 2006, 08:38 am
Cab, what has Langer said to get the tag of “ugly loser?”
2 Feb 2006, 08:52 am
Give them Chesthairs
He is probably the worst coach in the country, with a bad attitude to back it all up.
Putt could be the guy that runs on with the oranges at half time. All he is good for.
Tackler could be the teams mascot. Poor little chicken run tosser.
2 Feb 2006, 14:46 pm
brumbyIV,
fair enough, have no real problem with langer.
2 Feb 2006, 15:39 pm
I nominate myself. I wish I could go and teach those Canadians how to play rugby. I would need a bit of help with the backline though, allthough backline play is pretty straight forward, thats why backline players are usually +- braindead.
Contact me Hornetts, Im your man.
