Lauaki off the hook

Lauaki off the hook

Disgraced All Black Sione Lauaki will escape conviction for assaulting a man last month if he completes a police diversion programme.

Diversion is a programme to keep first-time offenders out of the court system. According to the Waikato Times, Lauaki is to go to the Hamilton Police Station to see a a diversion officer who would tell him what tasks he would be required to do to complete the scheme.

Community magistrate Pat Oettli told Lauaki that if he completed those tasks police would withdraw the charge and no further action would be taken.

Luaki’s departure from court was monitored by more than a dozen media representatives. Some were elbowed away by Chiefs assistant manager Farrell Temata, who told them to “piss off”.

Is it true that he was sober at the time of the assault. Jeez, imagine if he were pissed.

Next time I hope he beats the **** out of TheTackler.

    GhostShark

He won’t get time to beat the **** out of Tackler. Tackler will be on his knees giving him oral favours while humming “God defend New Zealand” in a flash just to prove how much he loves his new country.

    Cheers

pity. This oke scares me. Hopefully Farani and AJ will keep him entertained on Feb 11 so he doesn’t end up beating us all on his own. Again.

History is repeating itself = rugby players in New Zealand are not accountable. It is not that Lauaki received”diversion” but that the Magistrate refused the press permission to print the charges. This is special treatment because he is a rugby player. One of the worst cases of cover up by the NZRFU was the Roger Randle incident in Durban some years ago. Mils pissed in a bar and year after year Super 12 players brawl in pubs. But the NZRFU never take disciplinary action. Aftyer all they are RUGBY PLAYERS

Here’s a new word for context in this blog …

    hippocritamus
hippocritamus (noun) [hipp PO crit ah muss]

An egregious hypocrite; also, a hypocrite of enormous physical size.

Eg: The sumo wrestler, long a proponent of drug-testing in the sport, was denounced as a hippocritamus after test results showed he’d been using steroids for years
