Three 10s for Rubble Reds

Three 10s for Rubble Reds

The Rubble Reds have named three recognised flyhalves in their backline ahead of their Hate your State encounter with the Waratahs

The latest convert from League, Berrick Barnes, starts in jersey 10, with the two flyhalves from last year’s campaign – Elton Flatley and Julian Huxley – both starting in midfield.

Chris Latham and Drew Mitchell are potent attackers, but after that the cupboard’s pretty darn bare. The pack is led by workhorse John Roe, and otherwise is low on quality.

Not quite the Farce of their Western colleagues, but scarily close.

REDS SIDE TO PLAY THE TAHS

Chris Latham; Tim Atkinson, Julian Huxley, Elton Flatley, Drew Mitchell; Berrick Barnes, Sam Cordingley; John Roe (c), David Croft, Mitchell Chapman, Hugh McMeniman, Mark Connors, Rodney Blake, Sean Hardman, Greg Holmes.

Subs:Stephen Moore, Tom Court , James Horwill / Cameron Treloar, Tom McVerry, Nic Berry, Lloyd Johansson, Henari Veratau

Atkinson on the wing is not a good move. mainly a bench impact player in the centres.

Don’t understand all the fuss about Barnes except for the fact that the Reds, Broncos(Rugby League) and Queensland Bulls(cricket)were all fighting for his signature.

Berrick Barnes is the AB de Villiers of Queensland sport

    Brumby IV

Barnes is the AB De Villiers of Queensland – does that mean:
    1) jack of all trades and master of none

    or does that mean:

2)excellent at home but poor when travelling?
