Jannes crocked again

Jannes crocked again

Jannes Labuschagne’s comeback is on hold again.

The former Bok lock, who returned to the Cats starting XV against the Stormers after an 18 month absence because of injury, has been ruled out of Friday’s Vodacom Super 14 clash against the Chiefs because of injury.

Trevor Hall will replace him and form a new lock pairing with Willem Stoltz. It is unknown when Labuschagne will be available.

and we call werner greeff a sicknote!
this guy gets the most value for money out of his contract, he only plays a couple times a year..

It boggles the mind to think that the Cats went into the the S14 with their two top no 4 locks (Labuschagne and Tromp) having played less than a handful of games the past two years and both walked into the team. And now this.

Jannes gets injured simply by changing his mind.

Good means Gordon can come onto the bench. Slowly but surely the team is coming right.

Wat gaan aan met ons spelers , elke week het ons spelers wat seer gekry het. Oorsee se spanne sukkel nie so baie soos ons met beserings nie. Lyk my ons sukkel maar met fiksheid in SA

Well thank God for that!! Now the Cats can put their feelers out for a lock with slihtly more intelligence than an egg plant…

Thats a bonus for the Cats, it appears Jannes hasn’t learnt that playing off the ball is still not allowed – he never will, the sooner we consign the man to the scrap heap the better ! Hall looked more than competent last year

its all johnny wilkinson’s fault for jumping on jannes’ shoulder like that in 2002

Remember Christiaan Scholtz. Played once a year to keep his contract. Jannes has the same plan.

    Yeah
It’s time for him to retire, he let me down big time on Sat he was nothing more than a passenger, the problem for the Cats though is that there are no good locks coming through the ranks which is a huge problem and yes that Gordon lock is no good.

ig, you may be right, perhaps Hall and Stoltz is a better combo.

It appears Frans Luddeke has his favourates. Surely there is some clause in Jannes’s contract that would allow the Lions/Cats to get rid of him if he is constantly injured. I stand to be corrected but I heard Jannes recently renued his contract with the Lions. What in heavens name is he bringing to the table anyway. Seems to me the Lions Management are a tad close minded and lack a bit of foresight – why keep all these old ‘past-sell by date’ players on their books? They were seriously shown up against the Stormers. At this rate I will not be surprised if they lose all their games in the Super 14.
