Russell returns

Brent Russell is back in the Sharks starting XV for their Vodacom Super 14 match against the Cheetahs on Saturday.

The pocket rocket came off the bench against the Chiefs and is now fully fit after his injury lay-off.

Craig Burden gets his first senior start for the Sharks, playing on the wing in place of injured Henno Mentz.

Among the forwards, Braam Immelman replaces Jacques Botes at No 8, Albert van den Berg comes in for Johann Muller who moves to the bench and Deon Carstens returns from injury to replace the injured Heinke van der Merwe.

“It will take another courageous performance from the guys to beat the Cheetahs,” said Sharks coach Dick Muir. “We saw some good things last week but there is definitely room for improvement.â€?

He describes the Cheetahs as “a well-balanced side. They are getting to a stage of desperation where they need the win, so it’s going to be a hard-fought battle, particularly upfront.
