I think if the Cats could have played their rugby on sand (instead of grass) they would have left their **** behind long ago.

So happy province dont have him.

Another case of all pay and no play.

this guy is SA’s version of Ben Tune. the ultimate sicknote. Its been so long now I cant even remeber if he was as good as the hype surrounding when he’s going to finally make it back.

good luck Ash – looking forward to seeing if you remeber how to play rugby…

The cats are going to get HAMMERED HAMMERED HAMMERED on the overseas leg.

eish, at least it will be the cats relegated, it would be sad to see either of the Sharks, Stormers or Bulls relegated.

Langman? Never heard of the man. Why? Lang-arm, i know though. I skeem Rattlebones is trying to copy Tune’s swallow dive? Can’t we organise for the powers that be to move the billboards a tad closer to the dead-ball line…..when these clowns are in action?….boef!!

Don’t skin the cat yet … not until the fat lady sings .. or is it more a case of till Olie smokes a cigar ;o)

Mmmmmm .. not looking good for my kitty cats .. but we just can’t lie down, role over and play dead … must fight till the end .. and who knows, anything can happen, 10-15 points on the road sounds very unlikely .. but …

  • 14.bigg: Reply to this comment

Rod – Sorry I actually thought you were reving me up by saying I should slide into the boards, sorry I missed read it… Langman is just some oke on this site who does not like me for some reason, couldn’t really care though.

It would be funny to see them slide into the boards one day…

Ashwin is still a contracted Bok isn’t he?

    Man, I wish I could make 500 000-R1 000 000 a year for doing nothing (except gym).

Cool mate. anyway all that matters right now in this life is that we hate the ozzies, and would dearly love to see at least one of them plough into the advertising boards… the metal ones, of course:) awwwww cute, man. just so that we understand each other. schweet…

  • 17.londonshark: Reply to this comment

Tune was a twat but a bloody good rugby player!

I thought the swallow dive was pretty cool actually. Many wingers (of the 90′s) rate him as their toughest opponent.

wat ‘n ****** tragedie. coming back from injury seems to be almost impossile for some blokes. hope ash makes it.

  • 21.katman: Reply to this comment

Damn, that’s not good news at all. He’ll be back though. In the mean time, where is Dewey Swartbooi and Thabang Molefe? And when is Jantjes going be fit again? And Pretorius? And Nel Fourie? And in all the excitement of the Cats’ victory, I didn’t even notice Doppies on the field – did he do anything worthwhile?

The point of these questions is to prove that Jorrie and Snyman are needed for Vodacom Cup duty, since we have sufficient cover.

Not too sure a de Lille to be honest. Got a mouth on her the size of Debra Patter’s rear end, but like her principles. ANC is a bit iffy on local level, but I rate Thabo highly!!!

damn not Ash, just as he was easing his way back to top form … why not Jorrie or Snyman?

Now liten to me coach Ludeke and choose the following backline and stick to it (note that there is no place for the quota players Snyman and Jorrie)

    15 Jantjes /Rose
    14 Human /Rose
    13 Fourie /Esterhuizen
    12 Julies /Doppies
    11 Doppies /Swartbooi
    10 Rose /Swartbooi
    9 Januarie

I thought he was rushed into training too early
Cmparison with Tune isn’t fair: Tune played Super12 and Test Rugby from 1996 to 2000 mostly injury free while Willemse only played one full season and in 2002 and little bit toward the end of 2003

  • 33.mr.puntz: Reply to this comment

Poor old ASH will have to prove himself all over again if not i’ll be right on the one season wonder thin i once said !

  • 34.voxi gatani: Reply to this comment

I could see this comming. Ludekke must catch a wake up and start using his noggin. Players who have not played for an extended period should have a couple of runs with the Vodacom squad before they play in the taxing super 14. Same has happened to Jannes Labuscagne. Willemse’s career is going to be ruined. We may never see him in the green and gold again unless someone talks some sense into Frans.
The Cats tour is a disaster waiting to happen. Taking one hooker is laughable. Jorrie and Tiaan should not be on the plane. They are both pathetic players at this level. They will be in deep pooh if Ricky gets injured (and he is injury prone) as Vermark is just not ready for this level. Ludekke is showing a serious lack of foresight and his abilities as a coach at this level are suspect. He is being shown up with every decision he makes and with dismal performances each time the star studded Cats (or the Lions for that matter) play. What is frightening is that the powers that be at Ellis Park (read Jurasic Park) will keep him on even after the team has only won one or two games come end of the season.

Mark my words, the cats will get relegated this year. Looking foreward to having Fourie and Ricky in the Stormers team next year.

  • 36.cab: Reply to this comment

very dissapointing, i cant believe this, not again. Need AP, januarie, jantjies and willemse to all be fit to stand a chance of avoiding the drop.

  • 37.TheTackler: Reply to this comment

    Ashwin is a quota player.

  • 38.Onlooker: Reply to this comment

No, he isn’t, please be more selective Tackler!
First indication of a quota player is his ‘Self preservation’ style, which is designed to reduce a risk of injury at any cost. Paulse has the patent.
It always a split second late tackle and usually a missed one, always involved a breach of the defensive pattaren by moving away from the thrust.
Willemse is nothing of that stuff.

  • 39.Lem: Reply to this comment

    Ashwin is a sicknote.

  • 40.oink12: Reply to this comment

Takler.. You really are a ****.
When Ash does come back, let him play vodacom cup rugby for a while..

  • 41.TheTackler: Reply to this comment

Why not just play club rugby? After all, that’s his natural metiere!

  • 42.jomar1: Reply to this comment

Eish…Waars Dewey Swartbooi. Why is he playing for the Lions? He should be the 1st choice on the left wing. The can shift him to right wing to accomodate Poor Jorrie.
Cats backline should be as follows
    15 Jaque Fourie
    14 Wylie Human
    13 Dewey Swartbooi
    12 Wayne Julies
    11 Grant Esterhuizen
    10 Earl Rose
    09 Ricky january
