Jean de Villiers and Marius Joubert are available for the Stormers’ Vodacom Super 14 clash with the Brumbies on Friday.
Coach Kobus van der Merwe confirmed to keo.co.za that De Villiers, who tweaked a groin muscle during training last week, and Joubert, who has been absent for over six months, will begin full training today.
“Marius and Jean are back in training, which we are obviously very pleased about. They are both world-class players,” van der Merwe said.
He stated that he considers both as centres, and will not consider picking either on the wing.
Thus the most likely scenario will see De Villiers return to partner captain De Wet Barry in the starting midfield, with Joubert reintroduced to competitive rugby via the bench.
