Monty sets the early pace

Percy Montgomery has made a solid start to the Vodacom Super 14, scoring three tries in two matches.

The Sharks flyhalf/fullback is top of the try-scoring table after two rounds, along with Hurricanes wing Lome Fa’atau.

Monty has also earned 26 points via the boot, although Sharks fans wish it was 29 after he missed a late penalty against the Cheetahs last Saturday that cost his side the game.

Two tries in as many games along with seven conversions and seven penalties in the Crusaders’ two wins, sees Dan Carter on top of the points-scoring table.
