Andre Pretorius’s ‘drunken driving’ nightmare is over after charges against him were dropped earlier this morning.
The Bok flyhalf has had the spectre of a court appearance hanging over him for the last six weeks after he was arrested and charged for driving under the influence.
Speaking exclusively to keo.co.za at the time, Pretorius stated that he was not driving and that his perfectly sober girlfriend was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
He has always protested his innocence.
The news is a welcome boost for Cats coach Frans Ludeke, as Pretorius could not leave the country before his preliminary hearing in court.
