Frans Ludeke has lost another four players on the Cats horror tour of New Zealand and Australia.
The Cats, beaten 43-15 by the Crusaders in Christchurch, travel to Invercargill for one last Vodacom Super 14 outing in New Zealand. Not only will they face a Highlanders team licking their wounds after a crushing defeat against the Sharks, but they will have to salvage something without KleinJan Tromp (neck), Enrico Januarie (elbow), Trevor Hall (knee) and Jorrie Muller (knee).
Lions Vodacom Cup players Dewey Swartbooi, Dave von Hoesslin and Alten Hulme will join the team.
The Cats, with five defeats from six matches, have lost to the Hurricanes, Brumbies, Waratahs and Crusaders on the road, while losing to the Stormers in the tournament opener. Their only win was against the Chiefs. On current form, the Cats are favoured to be relegated if SARU does proceed with allowing the Spears into the Super 14.
