Sober Sailor delivers

Wendell Sailor’s brace of tries against the Force has forced out utility back Sam Norton-Knight from the starting XV.

Waratahs coach Ewen McKenzie has kept faith with the sober Sailor, whose two tries and impressive all-round game followed a three week suspension because of drunken behaviour.

Big Dell will start on the wing against the Blues, with his physical presence wanted to keep All Blacks dangerman Joe Rokocoko in check. Rokocoko, starved of ball with the Blues this season, has not been a factor, but the Waratahs expect the Blues to go to their fast man in this round.

Norton-Knight, one of the Waratahs success stories this season, warms the bench to accommodate the return of Lote Tuqiri, who missed his first ever Super rugby match because of Commonwealth Sevens duty.

Peter Hewat takes over at fullback.

The Blues are without several players, most notably Doug Howlett and Daniel Braid, but they do welcome back Luke McAlister, who has missed the last month because of injury.
