Former Blue Bulls president Dolf van Huyssteen has resigned from the SA Rugby board after not being made chairman.
Van Huyssteen was favoured to become chairman of the board of directors, but missed out on the appointment.
He was tight-lipped about his resignation when contacted by keo.co.za.
“I can confirm that I have resigned, but it is not in the interests of South African rugby for me to say why,” he said.
Van Huyssteen is the first big resignation of the Regen Hoskins’ presidency.
