Tackler once again forgets that New Zealand has to rely on their Maori supermen to boost all their squads, while South Africa gets punished by forced quotas to weaken our teams.
We were basically slaughtered yesterday; there was no competition at all. I was dumfounded by the total lack and almost reluctance (or uselessness) of our forwards to compete for the ball at the breakdown.

Good point Dieselboys

They are only kids, let's hope the experience benefits them and that if any of them ever do turn pro, they make sure that this NEVER happens again!!

Good luck on Sunday boys. We're behind you.

Remember - ignore the Tackler idiot at all times, he feeds on the attention.

Lee, both need to work on their throwing. TPN is a converted prop.

Anthony has a similar build to Sam Tuitopou. in the bottom pic, blue head gear with the ball in hand. his younger bro will get fed up with the raiders, they are dead set hopeless.

Agreed BrumbyIV.

Saia, the hooker, looked a bit puny last year playing for the Vikings in the Sydney comp, but it looks like he has put on a bit of pork since then.

He didn't disgrace himself coming off the bench to play in the S14 this year, did he? Not bad for a teenage tight five forward.

I think that he has a fine future and is the natural successor to Jeremy Paul at the Brumbies, because they play the same style.

With Saia, and TPN from the Waratahs, I don't think that Oz has to worry too much who their hookers will be for the next decade, injuries permitting. If only we could say the same about props and lineout specialist locks!!

I haven't seen Anthony play much senior rugby, in fact he had an unhappy game when I saw him play for the Brumby Runners about 12 months ago in Sydney.

I've met the boys because I was sitting next to their family at the 2004 Schoolboys tournament and they told me all about the boys. The grandmother, or was in auntie, was hoping the boys would play rugby league as she is an avid Raiders fan.

I think that Oz rugby will be glad in a few years time that they didn't go to the Dark Side.

Looks like the 2005 U19 world cup win by SA was just another flash in the pan. Looks like the centre of gravity at U19 level is once again going to be located in the South Pacific --- the natural home of rugby champions of every stripe.

Seems that the theme of this competition is pakslae. Maybe the cricket scores have something to do with the fact that these kids are young. We cant expect them to have the character to dig deep and keep the scores down when they are getting hammered.
Composure on the field, when faced with this kind of adversity, is present when you have experience to draw on. I'm sure that this experience will help the guys when they move on to senior teams.
I'm a bit worried that we are treating these young men with the same cynicism and nastyness that we dish to the professional players, who most often deserve it. They are only schoolboys who have years to go in the rough and tumble of the rugby world.
Lets cut them some slack and rather support them in their time of need.
