Brumbies star centre Matt Giteau is set to return to Vodacom Super 14 competition this Saturday against the Cheetahs in Canberra.
Giteau had been sidelined after aggravating a knee injury during the Rugby Sevens in last month’s Commonwealth Games in Melbourne but was back on the Brumbies teamsheet on Thursday for the round nine clash.
In another boost for the team, hooker Jeremy Paul will also return to the starting line-up after making a full recovery from a knee injury sustained in the opening round.
Paul has been slowly eased back into the first XV with a twenty-minute spell during the Brumbies’ last-gasp 28-26 win against the Chiefs a fortnight ago.
Versatile forward Adam Wallace-Harrison has been switched to No 8 for the match to provide cover for injured back-rower Jone Tawake.
