Frantic fight for World Cup tickets

Fancy watching the Boks contest the 2007 World Cup in France? Well, get moving muppits. Sales to the public opened yesteday and already more than 100 000 tickets were snapped up.

Sales were widened to the public worldwide after the first ticket release on November 5 went to what the International Rugby Board terms its rugby family including players, volunteers, administrators, officials and club fans.

It means that approximately half of the 1.6 million tickets allocated by the IRB have now been sold.

Like the first phase tickets are being sold in packs of three to six matches, with a maximum of six packs per person.

How much cash to splash?

The cheapest tickets are about R74, but then know you get Uruguay and not New Zealand.

Prices for the quarterfinals and the opening ceremony start at R350.

Nearly 15 000 seats for the final will be sold for less than R750.

Front Row Seat at home infront of a 6ft by 6ft projector screen, no qeue to the toilet and fridge full of food and beer, oh and also R750 in my pocket, makes me a happy man. If New Zealand in the semi’s or final. well at least I am not there to take a shallacking from the opposition supporters.

    Guys,

I have searched and found a link through http://www.irb.com, it tells you when tickets are released and how you can get them. Took me a while to find a single site that had this. Hope this helps.

Tickets were cheaper in November – 120 quid for all the sa pool games and then 30 quid or soemthing for the quarter final and a draw for the semi and final.
All you needed to do was join some unkonown french club(free) and you could have bought…

Oh if only keo had told you that then…
