Staniforth suspended
11 Apr 2006
The few who reckoned a quick buck could be made on the Force finally winning a game against the Blues in the Week 10 opener of the Vodacom Super 14 were made to think again when John Mitchell’s most influential player, Scott Staniforth, was slapped with a one-game ban.
Staniforth was pinged for a dangerous tackle against the Highlanders.
“There was a degree of recklessness in the way in which Staniforth charged into the player not sufficiently taken account of by the referee,” disciplinary commitee head Bruce Squire said.
With injuries again plaguing Mitch’s mob, expect the elusive win to remain so for another week at least.

Either way, the Force were going to lose to the Blues. The Blues will be far too strong for the Farce.

The force is just warming up for the game against my poor kitty cats … mmmmmm … if it was not so sad I would almost laugh about it …
