Bulls name white wing

Frikkie Welsh has been given the No 14 jersey for Saturday’s Vodacom Super 14 derby against the Cats at Loftus. It is the first time this season that the Bulls have not fielded two black wingers.

Akona Ndungane is relegated to the bench, while JP Nel partners Wynand Olivier in the midfield. Bok flyhalf Jaco van der Westhuzyen starts at fullback – a position he last occupied at the 2003 World Cup.

Pedrie Wannenburg, Tim Dlulane and Jacques Cronje are the starting loose forwards, with Pierre Spies, Francois van Schouwenburg and Danie Rossouw on the bench.

Danie Thiart wears the No 3 jersey with Andries Human getting a break, while Wessel Woux starts at loosehead ahead of Jaco Engels.
