New-look Cats, same old story?

Frans Ludeke has made eight changes to his Cats side for Saturday’s daunting assignment against the Bulls at Loftus.

Earl Rose starts at fullback, with Conrad Jantjes replacing the injured Ashwin Willemse on the wing. Doppies la Grange gets a start at inside centre with Wayne Julies moving to the bench.

Among the forwards, Trevor Hall replaces Gerhard Mostert on the flank, with Mostert moving to lock in place of Willem Stoltz.

Daniel Muller comes in for Marius Hurter at tighthead, Delarey du Preez for the injured Lukas van Biljon at hooker and Lawrence Sephaka for Pietman van Niekerk at loosehead, who has paid the price for his indiscipline against the Sharks.

Wylie Human and Cobus Grobbelaar return to the subs bench along with Alten Hulme (lock) and Willie Wepener (hooker).
