Another All Black goes down

Another All Black goes down

Tony Woodcock is the latest All Black casualty and he will miss the Ireland series.

Woodcock tore a calf muscle in the Blues 34-33 defeat against the Cats. He has not been in good form during the Vodacom Super 14.

Woodcock’s unavailability for the early internationals follows injuries to James Ryan, Nick Evans, Troy Flavell, Conrad Smith, Angus Macdonald and Sione Lauaki, the majority of whom toured with the All Blacks to Britain last year.

All Blacks coach Graham Henry has indicated he won’t select Crusaders and Hurricanes players for the Irish tests and the side that faces the Irish could effectively be an All Black ‘C’ team.

All Black C team will still beat many a test team. Mcallistar is a better flyhalf then what the Boks have and he will play in Carter’s place.

Tackler is gonna love this one : “the team that faces the Irish could effectively be an All Black ‘C’ team”

he is gonna tell us how brilliant their A to D teams are and that nobody on this planet could have a chance of beating their D team……

Go ahead Tackler, re-spew your already tired re-hash

Ireland in NZ, forget it, the flight will flatten them. The furtherest any of them fly for the Heinekin is Italy.

Still think though that they have lost the match already in their heads before they get off the plane. Ireland certainly have the players, just think that in key positions they are lacking competent players to threaten the top five. O’Connel was huge against Leinster and O’Gara was’nt half bad with the pack going forward. Forward though is were they may struggle and specifically the front row. Not so sure about them.

    If anyone has watched H-cup

    9 Stringer
    10 O’Gara
    11 Dempsy
    12 Darcy
    13 O’Driscoll
    14 Horgan
    15 Murphy

That backline is hot 11-15. Murphy is probably one of the best 15′s in world rugby if not the best.

Tony Timberdick will be back for the 3N.
That’s when he will be needed.

Well, look at the most recent NZ player-burntout end-of-season Grand Slam tour scoreboard, if you want to dispute the power of the All Black C team!

    Played 4 Won 4 Drew 0 Lost 0.

With a totally different team in each of the four tests played on four consecutive weekends.

And all the B and C team players have plenty of TOP LEVEL test experience — not just a slap and tickle hit-out in a “test” jersey against minnows like Uruguay or Fiji.

Woodcock down for weeks and may miss the Irish series. Hayman has one side cemented, replacements for Woodcock, would have Somerville, Afoa, Tialata, Taumoepeau, Johnstone, Crockett, Castle, Davison, so pretty much no shortage of props to take his place, and the good thing is, is that all these props, play both sides of the scrum.

Oh no, then we should just give up now because we couldn’t possibly beat any all black team now could we,or Ireland. Oh NZ is so wonderful ,so perfect and so love to gloat.
Bitching aside…on the strength of this last weekend Afoa gets my pick ,he was full value for oversized winger action. Great stuff.
Howvere the moronic commentators raved over and over about his’high knee action’. They suck sso much **** out their thumbs….it was replayed over and over and there was nothing high about his gait,as great a couple of runs those were.
Wish one could chose whose comemnators to follow.
Kempson or whoever couldnt even tell that the outstanding Jano Vermaak try was a try even on replay. It was so obvious ,these guys are serious doubters yet rave on about anything half good by opposition (countries).
Heck im really crying myself mos a river now ! :)

I seriously doubt the Irish will beat the AB’s.

In fact you be able to find one worthy Irish player that will make it into the AB’s team.

  • 13.Blackberry: Reply to this comment

That is still a decent NZ team rastafox. If the test was played in November on Landsdown Rd I would put my money on the Irish, but many Northen Hemisphere teams underperform in May during their tours that my money would still be on the All Blacks C team.

  • 14.cab: Reply to this comment

NZ C team is probably as good as most other test nations in any case.

It’s a good thing Tony was the strong rugby player type because if he was a dweeb with a surname like Woodcock his school days would have been hell. Ask me, surname: Fuccer, Name: Guy… :)

Aussie team will be a headache to pick up front though one or two of the younger frontrankers are starting to show some signs of hope. Hardy and Shepherdson on the up and Blake could be turned into a rugby player (after all Ollie played for the Bokke and went well)

  • 31.coldwatershark: Reply to this comment

I am so sick of hearing how good the Chokers are. Lets see them prove it in the WORLD CUP! You no how many times we hear about food poising etc. Surely they could afford to take their own chef with them to the WC, but that would mean they need to find a another excuse for them chocking?

  • 32.BrumbyIV: Reply to this comment

not sure about roe. we made the mistake of pick three midgets last year and two might compromise the balance of the pack. connolly is talking about about playing smith at 8 and having two lineout jumpers as flankers. I am over having lyons at 8 . he is large and lazy, big enough to being playing prop

  • 33.wls: Reply to this comment

    Is Woodcock that good though?
hes been shown up a bit this season?
    I think NZ have better.
Only downfall for NZ this season will be if there captaincy does not work out. Ie Macaww fails to be a great Captain like Umanaga.
They are looking very good this season.

  • 34.CSI:Rugby: Reply to this comment

    wls

Yeah Woodcock would be the best prop in NZ with Hayman, Somerville is up there with them, and always have Afoa and Tialata and the chiefs boys to come and also Johnstone and Crockett from Saders.

  • 35.cane: Reply to this comment

How much wood ,would Woodcock ****,
    If Woodcock could **** wood.
