Well, Dawn, I think Suparugby might be in a better position to explain. He seems to have found some kind of blue-eyed, brotherly love. Although he also mentions the name Skoonveld, which sounds like a Dameskoshuis*. And this poses some tricky questions about the brother…

    * if you want to know what a Dame is – it’s like a Vrou, but with one part manners, one part inhibition and one part guilt.

RedCard, standing up for a koshuismaat is one thing. But incest? Walk away from this one.

Just kidding though :) I know what his sentence meant.

Lions have had following problem the last couple of years
 Loose forwards – Since Joe van Niekerk left there were few intelligent and skillful loosies who could compliment the backs. Hope players like van der Merwe and Bernard make the grade.
 No quality players as back-up for January and Pretorius. Varmaak is a real find. Big problems at fly-half though. Fourie never was a long term solution. The Rose brothers have plenty of flair, but that’s not necessary what’s required to win close games (where tactical play is more important that flair). In any case, personally feel that Earl should concentrate on full-back and Jody is a more natural no 12.
 Few creative no 12’s., Molefe and Swarbooi are good physical crash ball inside centers, while le Grange is effective at poaching the ball on the ground, but with the exception of Earl Rose there are no 12’s with good acceleration, footwork and passing skills All the top teams have skillful no 12 that can back-up the no 10 ( Mmauger, Githau, De Villiers etc.)
ï‚· Since Habana left no real speed men coming through. Daniels the only one with real pace in this group

    Well,

Since the Lions with the same players reached the semi’s and one final under Ludeke, only a CC victory will be an improvement then.

    Show us Loffie.

    Jorrie F@kken Muller.
mag die Liewe Heer julle arme Leeus fans bewaar, dit gaan nog n lang seisoen wees.
But seriously, apart from that,I hope they come right, and there are some exciting players in that bunch. the big difference will have to be mental though. they need the believe that they can win, and it wont hurt if they do ocassionally win a game too. I’ll be shouting for them, as long as they arent playing against the Bulls, Cheetahs, Stormers, Sharks, Falcons, Bulldogs or the Eagles. apart from those teams they have my full support.

    Bluebarb,

I don’t think there are that many teams.

The 5 big guys qualified automatically with the Spears.

And the smaller union that scored the most points against the other smaller unions is the only other qualifier, that being the Falcons.

Well, that’s what Capistanio said on the telly at least.
