Tana’s handbag for sale

If you are interested in buying the handbag former All Blacks captain Tana Umaga made famous, you will need some serious cash.
Bidding for the item on auction website TradeMe had reached NZ$4,900 (R25,000) by Friday afternoon, with 54,000 page views.
The bag was used by the Hurricanes midfielder to discipline his team-mate and current All Black squad member Chris Masoe in Christchurch last Sunday morning.
The Hurricanes had spent a long night drowning their sorrows and when Masoe’s behaviour got out of hand in a Christchurch watering hole, Umaga instituted the best action he could think of to bring his inebriated pal under control.
He clouted him over the head with a woman’s handbag which happened to be within reach.
It is not just the Roxy handbag that is up for grabs – the broken cellphone that was inside it at the time of the incident is also included in the deal.
The auction closes on Saturday night.

Forget about Vuitton, Prada etc. The coolest name in handbags today is a Masoe. Very exclusive!
