Diminutive Dominici out
5 Jun 2006
South African fans will not be treated to any Christophe Dominici magic later this month.
The veteran international winger has been ruled out of France’s tour South Africa after suffering a fractured left eye socket.
Dominici picked up the injury playing for club side Stade Francais during the French championship semi-final loss to Toulouse on Saturday, team doctor for the Paris club Alexis Savigny confirmed.
The oldest member of the French team at 34 Dominici will be out for six weeks meaning he will miss their games against Romania (June 17) and South Africa (at Newlands on June 24).
France team manager Jo Maso said he will be replaced by Biarritz winger Philippe Bidabe. Dominici collided with Toulouse centre Yannick Jauzion. A decision on possible surgery will be taken during the week.

Jauzion is a huge collision.
Now Hilgendorf and Dominici can sit together at the games with black eyes.
