World XV coach Bob Dwyer has made six changes for Friday’s clash with a WP Corne Krige XV at Newlands.
Dwyer has made two changes amongst the backs with French centre Cedric Debrosse starting ahead of Fraser Waters at inside centre and Joe Roff replacing Thomas Castaignede, who has left to join up with the French squad, at outside centre. Wings Isa Nacewa and Bruce Reihana have also been switched around.
There are four changes in the pack. Owen Finegan replaces Xavier Rush on the flank, Julien Pierre replaces Tom Palmer at lock, Mark Regan starts at hooker in the place of Raphael Ibanez, who has also returned to France, and Christian Califano starts ahead of Dave Hewitt at loosehead. In a positional switch, Sebastien Chabal will play at number 8 and Olivier Magne on the flank.
A newcomer to the bench is Toutai Kefu, who has recovered from an ankle strain. Dwyer is still to name a reserve hooker.
Dwyer hinted that the World XV will play a more free-spirited game than was evident last weekend but insisted that his team would play “intelligent†rugby.
