De Villiers to play
21 Jun 2006
South Africa-born prop Pieter de Villiers will take his place in the front-row for France against the Springboks.
De Villiers, who originally hails from Cape Town is ready to face the country of his birth in France’s Test at Newlands on Saturday, according to manager Jo Maso.
De Villiers spent some time with his family in Cape Town following the death of his brother but returned to the French camp and insisted he was in the right frame of mind to play in the Test.
“Pieter wants to play. He should train with us on Wednesday,” said Maso.
