69 mins: Bok lineout on halfway. Van der Westhuyzen is penalised for punching and the French get back into the Bok half.

66 mins: Os du Randt puts in a monster tackle on French right wing Vincent Clerc. he spills the ball and the Boks get a penalty. Monty splits the uprights. (7/9) FRANCE 28-26

64 mins: Monty takes a high ball well, but knocks on after being tackled. Scrum France and Traille slots a drop. FRANCE 28-23

61 mins: Ricky Januarie on for Fourie du Preez and Lionel Nallet replaces skipper Fabien pelous at lock. Boks on attack. Scrum near touch about 25m out.

60 mins: Smit does well to gather a high ball, but the Boks butcher the chance when they kick again. France clear to 30m out.

57 mins: TRY Bok lineout on halfway. Victor Matfield takes well, but France steal it and drive into the Boks 22. Traille then blasts straight through some poor Bok tackling – about three or four attempts – for a try between the sticks. Yachvili converts for the lead. (3/4) FRANCE 25-23

53 mins: TRY The French reply immediately when a Traille chip finds Florian Fritz and he sends Vincent Clerc away for a try in the corner. Yachvili kicks the extras and it’s game on. (2/3) BOKS 23-18

50 mins: TRY Great move from the base of the ruck sees Wannenburg feed Du Preez and he puts Russell away. The little winger has no space to work, but gets over with help from Du Preez. Monty’s conversion hits the upright. (6/8) BOKS 23-11

48 mins: French inside centre Yannick Jauzion breaks through in midfield, but the Boks are able to consolidate and the ball is spilled. Scrum Boks. France penalised at scrum for moving around. Monty puts it out 30m from French line.

45 mins: A great passage of play by the Boks sees the French scramble to hold their line. Du Preez bursts to the right, but his pop pass to Rossouw is fumbled in the tackle. Penalty anyway and Monty put it away, again. (6/7) BOKS 18-11

43 mins: Bok lineout on their 22. John Smit finds Danie Rossouw. The Boks run it and Russell makes a break down the blindside. Habana is off and Gaffie du Toit is at left wing.

41 mins: Penalty to the Boks from the restart, dead in front. Monty strokes it through no problem. (5/6) BOKS 15-11

HALF-TIME: BOKS 12 FRANCE 11

40 mins: Boks final attack fails when Bryan Habana drops the ball out wide.

39 mins: Du Randt ploughs forward and earns a penalty, but this time Monty misses just to the right. (4/5)

37 mins: Four re-sets later and finally Wannenburg comes away. The French are desperate, but they defend well and the Boks opt for the grubber and lose possession. French clear. Lineout to Boks just outside 22.

35 mins: A wonderful kick by Monty from deep inside his own half goes out 5m from the French line. They throw is skew and the Boks have a great attacking scrum.

33 mins: France on attack znd peppering the Boks line, but they turn it over and then infringe at the ruck. penalty to Boks. Van der Westhuyzen puts it out for Bok lineout just past the 10m line.

31 mins: Lineout to Boks 10m from own line after a clever kick through by Traille. The ball is controlled well and cleared to near halfway.

29 mins: From the restart, the Boks botch it and Du Preez knocks on, then Wannenburg is penalised for going off his feet. Yachvili though pulls his kick right from an easy position.

27 mins: The Boks are on attack and looking dangerous with ball in hand. Russell in particular looks keen for some action. Another penalty, this time for offside to the Boks and Monty is kicking like a dream. He puts the Boks in front with another superbly struck three-pointer. (4/4) BOKS 12-11

25 mins: The home side are slowly getting into this Test. Monty puts another penalty over. (3/3) FRANCE 11-9

23 mins: A fortuitous touch gifts the ball to Os du Randt who has made several telling tackles and he feeds Pedrie Wannenburg, but the move breaks down. The Boks seem to be slowly finding their feet.

21 mins: The Boks finally string together some passes and threaten for the first time in the match. They are rewarded with a penalty near touch about 25m out. Monty makes no mistake. (2/2) FRANCE 11-6

18 mins: French scrum on Bok 10m line. They run it and hooker Dimitri Szarzewski breaks through. This time the ruck forms and outside centre Florian Fritz’s drop goes over. FRANCE 11-3

16 mins: Traille tries a drop but pushes it wide. The French are employing the up and under with great effect on the Bok back three.

15 mins: Imanol Harinordoquy is replaced by Remy Martin.

13 mins: The Boks are looking suspect on defence as the powerful French runners are causing havoc. Lineout Boks on halfway, but they kick again and lose possession.

9 mins: French kick out on the full at the restart. It’s a fierce battle up front. Scrum Boks on halfway. They opt to kick and the French counter brilliantly. They sweep up field and earn a penalty when Juan Smith is caught with his hands in the ruck. Yachvili slots it. (1/2) FRANCE 8-3

6 mins: Bok penalty just inside the French half for offsides. Percy Montgomery takes aim and it’s well over. (1/1) FRANCE 5-3

3 mins: TRY Bok scrum about 40m out, but the French get free kick and control the ball well. Damien Traille kicks over Brent Russell’s head and he fails to take the bouncing ball. Left wing Cedric Heymans pounces to score. Dimitri Yachvili misses the conversion. (0/1) FRANCE 5-0

1 min: France immediately onto the attack, but they fluff the lineout 5m from the Bok line and Jaco vd Westhuyzen clears out of the 22.
