Ollie clips Valke wings
30 Jun 2006
Vodacom Cheetahs veteran prop Ollie le Roux is confident that the Valke will present few problems for his side when they meet in Brakpan on Friday night.
“They have proved they are a good team by winning the Vodacom Cup,” Le Roux told keo.co.za, “but we know that they are not up to Super 14 standard, which most of our players are.”
Le Roux was impressed by the performance of the Valke forwards against the Blue Bulls last week and believes that the Cheetahs will have to be accurate on first phase ball. The Valke came within seven points last week, but weren’t exactly guilty of constructive play.
“They’ve shown that they enjoy the physical stuff, and they do spoil a lot around the rucks. On attack, they don’t offer too much,” said Le Roux, “they rather prefer to feed off the other team’s mistakes. We never play to lose, but I’m confident that we should take the four points from this one.”
The Cheetahs started slowly against Griquas and later cut loose scoring 55 points in all.
“Against Griquas, we concentrated on getting our structures right early on, and that is what we will be looking to do again tonight. If all goes well, we should get the four tries and the bonus point.”
Valke: Jan Cloete; Brendan April, Sam Willard, Hanno Coetzee, Riaan Viljoen; Louis Strydom, Sarel Pretorius; Michael Vermaak, Jacques Nieuwenhuis, Piet Krause©, Nico Luus, Ryan Strydwick, Attie Pienaar, Frik Venter, Zane Killian. Reserves: Piet Grobler, Gavin Whittingham, Dewald Senekal, Dries van Schalkwyk, Morné Adams, Pieter Spaumer. Nog Een.
Vodacom Cheetahs: Bevin Fortuin; Giscard Pieters, JW Jonker, Meyer Bosman, Gavin Passens, Philip Burger, Willem de Waal, Michael Claassens; Rayno van der Merwe, Darren Nell, Hendro Scholtz ©, Barend Pieterse, Rory Duncan, Jannie du Plessis, Jaco du Toit, Ollie le Roux. Replacements: Rich Verster, Wian du Preez, Corniel van Zyl, Kabamba Floors, Falie Oelshig, Dale Heidtmann, Philip Burger.

Dawn,
I agree his kit is tight.
Only a man with a very small ***** would be able to wear his kit so tight.
Unlike Koos , Redcard and myself who wear extremely lose fitting clothing.
Oh, I almost forgot, Stan also where lose clothing.
