Wessel Roux will make his 100th appearance for the Vodacom Blue Bulls in Saturday’s Absa Currie Cup match at Loftus.

The prop forward, who made his debut against the Lions in 1997, joins an exclusive club when he becomes only the 24th player in Bulls’ history to pass the century-mark in the blue jersey.

Another player set to pass a significant milestone is captain Frikkie Welsh who will play in his 50th match for the Pretoria outfit.

The line-up to face Vodacom Western Province shows only one change in the starting XV with John Mametsa replacing Trompie Nontshinga at wing.

Hottie Louw joins Hilton Lobberts and Riaan van der Berg as additions to a bench that will give new coach Pote Human plenty of options come the business-end of Saturday’s second half.

    Not to shabby , good team , but not fast enough for the province backline hehe

    Good team guys , sure they will get very close in beating province. But i still say that province will do good this time round.

    True (5). The wp back trio is also quite weak under the high ball, even though they claim it is one of their strengths that they’ll employ.

    Not a bad team, just one worry namely Basson. Despite winning man of the match award I tought he wasn’t playing good rugby as he wasn’t communicating with his teammates and showing selfishness in launching himself at every high ball when there was a teammate in better position to take the ball.

    Amazing!!! Has someone mentioned to Wee Pee that they actually BEAT the Sharks in the CC last year? Cause the spin doctors are now carrying on about their LOSS last weekend being the beginning of a a new glory era!!!

    Hey what’s the story on Egon Seconds? Rugby365 has an artcle mentioning him as having signed for some French club, along with Farani from the Sharks….may expain why Fester is suddenly giving him some game time after blanking him in the S14….

    Jb, en omdat hulle nog steeds op soek is na daai kamermaat wat hy in 1998 ingesluk het. Die bulle se plan is hom so veel as moontlik te laat hardloop ….dalk kots sy kamermaat een of ander tyd uit!

    Ja the blue bulls….wow!! how amazing. Half the crowd are alcaholics. They need to be drunk to watch the boring one dimensional play of grinding it up with the forwads.

    Before the game they will be warming up with a few drinks with “bakgat treffers” or “sokkiejol teffers volume 75″ playing in the background.
