Vodacom and the Reach for a Dream Foundation will make the dream of a young schoolboy come true on Saturday.
Six-year-old Divan Hugo, who has a degenerating brain disease, will be given the chance to meet the Springboks before their first home game of the Vodacom Tri-Nations match against the All Blacks at Loftus.
Hugo will meet up with the Boks at their captainÂ’s practice on Friday and will then stand alongside his heroes on the field when they sing the national anthem before kick-off on Saturday.
Hugo loves rugby but because of his illness, he is unable to take part in contact sports. However, he is a loyal Blue Bulls supporter with his favourite players being Bakkies Botha and Bryan Habana.
“Vodacom is the most passionate supporter of South African supporters and it makes us proud to be in a position to make the dream of a young child such as Divan come true in this way,” said Dot Field, Chief Communications Officer, Vodacom Group, (Pty) Ltd.
