The Wallabies will field their best possible line-up for the Vodacom Tri-Nations match against the Springboks at Ellis Park.
Coach John Connolly said he would not experiment with his side. “Playing for Australia is an honour, I think you want to put the best team on the field,” he told reporters at Sydney airport. “It is better to have evolution than revolution.”
The Wallabies have not won a Test on the Highveld since 1963 and have just one victory from eight appearances at Ellis Park. However, they remain optimistic of making it three from three against the Boks this season.
“We are not worried about what has happened in the past but we know how we want to play the game,” Connolly said. “The Boks are tough to beat at home, they have forwards that can take the momentum out of the game, so you have to be strategically pretty smart.”
A victory at Ellis Park will take the Australians to second on the IRB world rankings.
