Boks stay fourth

The Springboks’ shock victory in Rustenburg has not changed their IRB World Ranking.

The Boks stay fourth, but are now just 0.70 points behind the Wallabies, who will move into second spot should they win at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Jake White’s side began the year in second position, with the Aussies struggling at No 4. However, five consecutive Test defeats saw the Boks slide down the rankings, while two wins against the Boks allowed the Wallabies to climb their way back up.

The All Blacks have opened up a comfortable 7.09 point lead at the top of the standings.
