Nick Mallett has urged Jake White to break the ice with Luke Watson and include him in his future Springbok plans.
Mallett, in the Sunday Times, wrote of the importance to keep perspective about two home Bok wins and said it was important new players were introduced into the squad for the end of year tour. Among those were Watson, whom he argued would add value. He suggested White and Watson sit down and sort out whatever differences there may be.
Mallett also said that the two home wins could not excuse the tournament performance of the squad and added that some players had not performed well enough to justify inclusion in the squad.
He added that the end of year tour was an ideal opportunity to introduce younger players to test rugby, while giving some of the more experienced players a rest during the same period.
