Luke Watson could play against the Springboks at Twickenham on 3 December.
According to Die Burger, the Western Province captain is being considered for a World XV side to play the Boks – a match that has been lumped on to the end of the tour schedule.
Around 70% of the profits from the game will go to the SA Players Association (Sarpa), whose complaints about burnout seem to quieten down when the cash comes their way.
Another Bok reject, injured WP hooker Schalk Brits, could also play against his countrymen if he can regain fitness in time.
With the new Wembley Stadium still not completed, Sarpa are hoping the match will take place at Twickenham, although the RFU have yet to give their stamp of approval. The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff will be the venue for an ice-skating meeting on that day.
The Boks played a World XV at Ellis Park in June this year, scraping home 30-27 thanks to a superb kicking display from Percy Montgomery. However, the match was not afforded Test status.
