Bully boys brace for Cheetahs

The return of Pierre Spies to the Vodacom Blue Bulls loose-trio will ease the blow of losing Wynand Olivier for what will be a crucial Absa Currie Cup game against the Vodacom Cheetahs.

Spies returns at eighthman replacing Derick Kuün, allowing Danie Rossouw to continue championing the breakdown battle at openside flank. Pedrie Wannenburg has failed to recover from a knee injury that has sidelined him for two weeks, so Hilton Lobberts completes a back row that will pose a tremendous physical threat in both the tight and loose.

Derick Hougaard returns from a groin strain and is preferred at flyhalf to Morné Steyn. Dries Scholtz will play on his inside while Marius Delport has recovered from an ankle injury to line up on the wing ahead of Stefan Basson.
