Former Griffons flyhalf Andre Hough continues to impress in the French Top 14, as he helped Albi overcome Perpignan 16-9 on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old Namibian slotted three penalties and a conversion to record 11 points in all, and had a prominent hand in Tim Browker’s try with a clever cross kick.
The win is the fourth this season for lowly Albi, and elevates them from the relegation zone. Hough has amassed 61 points in four games, and has been the catalyst for the team who are newcomers to the Top 14 this season. They remain unbeaten at home.
In other results Stade Francais extended their unbeaten run by defeating Brive 21-6, and Bourgoin thumped Montpellier 25-3.
