Werner Greeff will be allowed to complete his comeback to first class rugby after being cleared of foul play in a club game.
The Western Province Rugby Union disciplinary committee adjudged that the two yellow cards and ultimate send off was sufficient punishment for his transgressions in Victorians win over UCT last week.
Greeff is now likely to take his place in the Vodacom Western Province side against Griquas this weekend, where he is tipped to start at inside centre. Sarel Potgieter will be dropped with Corne Uys shifting to the outside channel to accomodate the former Springbok.
This marks Greeff’s return to top flight rugby after he obtained a neck injury in the Vodacom Super 14 match on 11 March against the Hurricanes.
