Your weekend odds and former Springbok hooker and CEO of SA Rugby Legends John Allan has given us some betting tips to make this weekend all the more profitable.

The Absa Currie Cup semis are here and its all or nothing for the top four teams. The first match up is the traditional derby between Vodacom Blue Bulls and Vodacom Western Province. Western Province have beaten the Bulls home and away this year but the Bulls recent form has been considerably better than that of Western Province. Home advantage and the Loftus faithful should carry the Bulls to a win.

I chatted to John Allan and he thinks the Bulls will beat the spread of -10.5. He also feels they will win outright [odds = R1.33] Backing Western Province could be a very profitable bet if they upset the Bulls with the odds on an outright win at R3.50,.

The second semi-final in Bloemfontein between the Vodacom Cheetahs and the Sharks will be as intriguing as the first game. The Cheetahs have been a consistent side all through the competition and have beaten the Sharks in both game this season. The young Sharks side will relish the chance for revenge but an away semi in front of the Cheetahs fans will probably be a step too far.

Chatting to John about this match up was revealing in where his heart lies. He thinks the Sharks will win outright [2.60] and therefore beat the spread of +6.5 as well. The odds on a Cheetahs outright win is 1.55 .

There is a new betting option available on Legendsbet, that allows you to bet on who will make the final. The odds are as follows

Bulls v Cheetahs – 1.95
Bulls v Sharks – 3.30
Wp – v Cheetahs – 5:50
