European Cup champions Munster were beaten 21-10 by unfancied Edinburgh in the Celtic League on Friday night.
Alasdair Dickinson and Chris Paterson scored tries to give the Scots a 14-3 half-time lead.
Scotland winger Simon Webster added another try soon after the break before Denis Leamy’s converted try gave Munster fans something to shout about.
In other Celtic League matches, a late Steve Jones drop goal gave Borders a 22-19 win against Leinster at Netherdale – their first of the competition.
Ray Ofisa’s first try for Connacht helped them to a 16-9 victory against the Dragons, while the Ospreys eased to a comfortable 26-9 win against Glasgow at the Liberty Stadium. Tries from Nikki Walker, Sonny Parker, Steve Tandy and Shane Williams, with three conversions by Gavin Henson, earned the Ospreys a bonus point.
