Harlequins won in the Premiership for the first time this season, whipping Northampton Saints.
Quins, who scored four tries to two late efforts from Saints, had Adrian Jarvis to thank for the comfortable victory. The flyhalf, playing in place of injured Andrew Mehrtens, scored 19 points. Quins, Division one champions in 2005, had lost their five previous Premiership matches going into Saturday’s match.

Newcastle (against Bristol) and Sale Sharks (against Wasps) won on Friday night.
In the Celtic Magners League, Ulster won 32-8 against Borders and Cardiff Blues beat Edinburgh 23-13.
