Kabamba Floors could make his long-awaited Test debut after being summoned by the Springboks on Sunday.
The Cheetahs flank, ex-Lions captain Wikus van Heerden and WP lock-cum-flank Gerrie Brits will replace three Boks in the current squad, although management has yet to announce who will be flying home.
Jake White may be tempted to select Floors for the second Test against England on Saturday. Unlike in the Vodacom Tri-Nations, when travelling Down Under can take a lot out of a player, the trip to the UK is far easier to make.
If Floors starts at Twickenham, the Boks will field a new-look loose trio for the third consecutive weekend.
In any event, Floors, Van Heerden and Brits are all expected to start against the World XV in two week’s time. The match is a fund-raiser for the SA Players Association, and will allow White to test his fringe players.
