James jets home

Springbok coach Jake White will have to play Andre Pretorius at flyhalf against England or blood Francois Steyn as a test flyhalf.

Butch James, inspirational against England in the 23-21 defeat, is out of the tour with a knee injury.

White has not called for a replacement, believing he has enough back-up within the squad.

The Bok coach could even go as left field as playing Ruan Pienaar at flyhalf, but he will probably settle on Pretorius at No 10, especially after Steyn’s good performance in the first test.

Pierre Spies and Jaques Cronje have also returned home, while Juan Smith may still be considered for selection.

Kabamba Floors, Wikus van Heerden and Gerrie Britz join the Bok squad on Monday.
