Mallett could coach Poms

Nick Mallett is in line to replace Andy Robinson as England coach.

According to the BBC, Robinson has been told that he can resign or be fired after his side suffered their eight defeat in nine Tests.

First choice as replacement is World Cup-winning captain Martin Johnson, but if Johnson is not available, former Wasps and Ireland coach Warren Gatland or Mallett will come into the frame.

Mallett, currently the WP director of rugby, has also been mentioned as a possible replacement for Jake White, if the Bok coach is sacked by the Presidents Council this week.

There has also been speculation that Mallett could come in as head coach of the Boks, with White as coach and Rassie Erasmus and Heyneke Meyer as assistants.

When contacted by keo.co.za Mallett simply said that he was not the new coach of England.
