Wilko’s waiting game

Wilko’s waiting game

Jonny Wilkinson is extremely doubtful for England’s opening Six Nations clash against Scotland.

The 27-year-old Newcastle Falcons flyhalf was named in England’s 33-man Six Nations squad on Tuesday, but Steve Black said it was unlikely the flyhalf would be fit.

“I don’t think Jonny will be ready for the Scotland game [on February 3],” Newcastle fitness coach Steve Black told BBC Sport.

“It would be foolhardy to rush him back. He needs time to adjust to the playing environment. We need to get him back on to the field for Newcastle.”

Wilkinson has not played for his club since suffering a lacerated kidney on 3 November against Bristol.

“Rush him back”??? Glaciers move faster than Wilko Sicknote’s recovery!

“Needs time to adjust to the playing environment”….hence let him play in divisional rugby union first before dragging him into the national setup….

3 – No they don’t, but guess that is the peril of international sport…will do anything to start getting on the winning track and as quickly as possible too….

    JEEZ…….

How can you put any faith in an “alleged” Coach when he brings back the old farts who should have been pensioned off years ago.

It looks like a toss-up between the Boks and the Poms who have the oldest washed up codgers in their squads.

    Patrick.

It looks like a toss-up between you and Patrick (oh but that is you!) for the biggest moron on Keo.

I wonder if “Wespa” actually knows that Wilkenson very very occasionally plays for ENGLAND and not South Africa? And that, therefore, any comment which I might make about the England flyhalf actually has ZERO to do with SA rugby?

Or possibly “Wespa” (is that Vespa spelt wrong?) just swallowed too many grumpy pills this afternoon?

One has to think on these things, you know?

I think they have a template for this article – just fill in the date and the injury and you have a full article.

‘alleged’ coach? You sound like those idiots who read the 7 o’clock news and dont understand the term.

The Article says Johnny is only “27″. He seems to have been around a long time.
Is the “27″ a typing error.
