Bullish Butch
16 Jul 2007
Butch James’s knees have a World Cup left in them.
Speaking in the latest SA Rugby magazine, on sale Wednesday, the Bok flyhalf dismisses claims that he is a liability considering his past injury problems. “Brilliant medical attention at the Sharks got me back on the field and I honestly feel that I could go on for another three years at least.”
James also speaks about his desire to get a World Cup winners medal, his tackling technique and his Maritzburg College days with England cricketer Kevin Pietersen.
Also in the new SA Rugby magazine:
– Ashwin Willemse on his comeback: “Not even my family knows what I’ve been through”
– Pierre Spies on the battle for the No 8 jersey: `”It’s a myth I disappear when the game is tight”
– BJ Botha on his scrumming technique: “I’m no cheat”
– How Piri Weepu got back in shape and Lote Tuqiri regained his speed
– Naas Botha slams the Bok backline. There are also columns from Nick Mallett, Jonathan Kaplan, Shaun Sowerby, Corne Krige and Keo
PLUS: Jaque Fourie’s crib, Emerging Boks, Jaco Pretorius’s other life, Hard Bastards XV, Rassie on counterattacking, Provincial & Bok focus, Tri-Nations review, World Cup countdown

Admit it Durbstormer you loved the last one, hence your comment. We thought celebration. You thought moffie. We at least know where your thoughts are.
And yes Lote has regained his speed. No one downs a pint quicker than Lote in the squad, even if it takes him a bit longer to sleep it off.
