In the Western Cape’s Super League A, Maties delivered the performance of the weekend thrashing Collegians 93-7. Hamiltons were too strong for UCT, accelerating from their 18-3 half-time advantage to secure a seven-try 43-23 win. SK Walmers were as dominant in the first half but had to stave off a brave NNK effort in the second to win 42-26. Victorians edged Durbanville/ Bellville by 30-27, while the game against Villager and Tygerberg was postponed.

The Boland Premier League saw Roses go down by a solitary point in a 15-14 thriller against Wesbank. Rawsonville continued to dominate with a 37-26 win over Wellington, while Villagers/Worcester’s victory over Delicious was by a comprehensive 37-10 margin. Villager/Montagu scraped a narrow 13-12 win over Abbottsdale and Darling were too good for Robertson in a 28-13 victory.

Up north, the University of Johannesburg clouted the NuPay Eagles by 48-0 with Torrie Meyer scoring a brace.

Club competitions in the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Pretoria have been completed.
