Skinstad secures silver

Bob Skinstad helped SA Rugby magazine claim the runners-up award for SA Cover of the Year.

All magazines in South Africa – and not just sport – were able to enter this category at the PICA Awards – the industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. The awards dinner was held last night at a banquet in Sandton.

Visi Magazine won gold, with SA Rugby second.

Skinstad appeared topless on our March cover, just as he was preparing to make his comeback with the Sharks. Many said he was over the hill and stood no chance of earning a place in the Boks’ World Cup squad later in the year. However, Skinstad backed himself 100% and has a World Cup winners’ medal to show for his efforts.

    the most subscriptions happen to be sold to those living up north. does’nt surprise since half can’t read and only buy the mag to look at the pictures.no wonder this cover won!
