Dubai Sevens wrap, Day 1

The Springbok Sevens side won all three of their pool matches on Day 1.

The Boks led Canada 12-0 at the break through tries by captain Neil Powell and Renfred Dazel, who both scored against soon after the break. Danwel Demas capped off a fine performance with the South Africans’ fifth try.

Tunisia were thrashed 42-10, with Fabian Juries and Demas scoring two tries apiece. Juries then scored a hat-trick in the Boks 22-10 win over England.

    Its a lekker jorl, the Dubai sevens. Wish I was there again, especially as we have Engaland in our pool

    There are a zillion whiney, miserable expats floating around Dubai. I could think of nothing better than to sit and watch their faces whilst being creamed on the field by the Boks again

    Those going to Twickenham tomorrow for the Baa baas game.
    A lot of the Saffas that blog here and others will be gathering at “The Fox” pub, before and after the game.
    If you go to google and put in london map, various webs will come up, select “streetmap UK” and put the postal code of the pub in and then you can print a map.

    The Fox is a major dump, probably coz it’s full of yarpies – ha ha.

    Saffa bar are all very macho. Walking up and down the bar carrying water melons under their armpits, despite the fact they have no lats.

    Oh well it is just a pub anyways!
