Has the latest issue of SA Rugby magazine rocked your world?

sarcov.jpgIf so, we want to know what you liked about it. If you didn’t enjoy the mag, give us some constructive criticism.

We have received a lot of letters regarding Peter de Villiers’s appointment and the scrapping of the Bok emblem, but please keep them coming (judge@hsm.co.za). At the end of the week, we’ll pick the best one (and the winner of the Bok jersey).

It was very good especially liked Cardinelli’s piece on the best black fifteen players and their prospects for the Springboks.

But I thought the issue should have had a piece on up and coming youngsters. Guys who are tipped to take the new super 14 by storm. They almost always have a piece on that every year. I hope at least it will be in the feb edition.

Get an interview with Solly. I’d be helluva impressed if you managed to track him down…

Also, perhaps a nice idea would be an entire article with commentaries by players who were coached by Peter de Villiers, so each player has about two or three sentences or so. Could be nice, since it seems people know very little about Peter de Villiers as person and as coach.

And also a section on “players to watch”. Its always good to have while pondering my fantasy rugby selections. Although I must say, you guys weren’t exactly spot on last year. I probably won’t be taking your advice.

would love to be able to buy it in the USA.
any chance of it being available digitally??
that way us expats could buy the mag and read it without having to fork out for the extortionate postage charges.

other than that, as WPTID said, an interview with Solly, ask him why he has thrown away everything. Does he know how many guys would have killed for what he had and it seems as though he can’t be assed to put in the effort anymore.

    Guys
    please get your act together.
Why advertise subscriptions to SA Rugby Mag on ebucks, when no such facility exists???
Go try it yourselves before you advertise it on your freekin site.
    Maak my die donner in.

I thoroughly enjoy the current content, but I have a suggestion: Using the sometimes deranged and fanatical fans on Keo as yardstick – it’s damn obvious that at least 85% of South African rugby’s character and charm is provided by the supporters……(the incompetent and always entertaining SARU provide the ohter 15%)

These clowns, love ‘em, hate ‘em or irritated by ‘em, play an integral part in the game we love, and I for one, would love to see these “characters/clowns” of the game receive some coverage.

Visit a few fanatical Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Lions and Cheetahs fans, attend a game with them, visit their homes etc etc. Gatecrash a Presidents Council meeting. Visit Harold Verster at one of his homes……

Whilst the players, coaches and technical ins ands outs of the game form the core of the mag (as is current norm) – it would be great if you guys could find place in the mag for the HEART of the game, as found in the characters mentioned above…..(Just please NO Tacitus inserts….)

And, as I am a Stormers gal, you may present me with the Bok jersey – I am still 100% behind the Boks (unlike some of my friends up north – who in protest will no longer be wearing Bok replica jerseys, but Bulls truie alleenlik….)

    ruck

You really are desperate for that jersey… I say give it to her fellas

  • 20.BuckTrendy: Reply to this comment

hey ruck, are you offering your abode during the next test as the first port of call? they could capture those ‘enthusiastic and fanatical’ supporters moments to a tee!

  • 21.katman: Reply to this comment

Great idea, Ruck. They could do a piece on me, for instance. A Lion far away from his den; stranger in a strange land. A keo journo could follow me to a Newlands game and document the challenges faced (and immense courage shown) by a lone Lions supporter who finds himself in a large, hostile crowd. Irate Province supporters putting down their picnic plates, pushing back their pastel sweater sleeves and warning me to be the hell quiet or they will have me thrown the heck out. Could make for good reading.

They could do the selfsame interview with you at Loftus…

  • 25.katman: Reply to this comment

If I go to Loftus, Bod, I swear to god I’ll sit in the black stands.

  • 26.KWAGGA ROBERTSE: Reply to this comment

    Black stands?

  • 27.katman: Reply to this comment

    Ja, like Johnny Clegg.

  • 28.ruck: Reply to this comment

Kwagga – jy weet seker teen die tyd, jy is nie een van my teikens……Eintlik is die Bulls posters hier op Keo (met 1 of 2 uitsonderings) van die beste en greatest ouens. Hoe boring sal life nie wees as mense nie mekaar so klein bietjie afkraak, en spot??? Hahaha – it keeps one grounded!! (Truly) Always remember, I love the game of rugby TOO much to really “hate/dislike” anyone involved in the game……well…almost..

Unlike Newlands we dont have “black” stands at Loftus you half bread!

  • 31.katman: Reply to this comment

That’s great news, AB. I presume the stands are wonderfully cosmopolitan these days.

Keo.co.za has always promoted uncensored views, but has never tolerated racist or crass outbursts. Come on guys and girls. If you can't moderate yourselves or each other then I am going to be forced to regulate the posts and enforce a registration process for comments. The choice is yours.
