Umaga banned for 10
14 Apr 2008
Toulon coach Tana Umaga was suspended for 10 days for his role in a brawl in his team’s match against Pau.
Umaga came onto the field to break up a mass fight between players from both teams, while the referee objected and asked Umaga to leave. Umaga refused and was given a red card for entering the field of play.
A disciplinary tribunal handed down the sentence to Umaga on Saturday, while three players also received suspensions. Toulon centre Mafi Kefu got 60 days for kneeing a player, Philip Fitzgerald got 30 days, and former All Blacks prop Saimone Taumoepeau got 10 days for punching.

Did Tana use his handbag? Did any Kiwis cry? Was it a woman official who ejected him from the field?
